What can osteopathy do for your golf?
If you consider the length of time you play golf for, together with the position which you need to adopt in order to address the ball, it is understandable that over time you are going to develop aches, pains and lines of tension based on the repetitive movements which you are carrying out. This is not to say golf is bad! It is a fantastic way to stay fit and mobile, but it is even better if you can balance out this bending forward golfing position, with a careful balance of manipulation and mobilisation, to make sure you don’t constantly shorten some muscles, whilst over stretching others. This balancing out of movement can help your golf in the long run: The more balanced and mobile you are, the more fluid your golf swing, and in some instances, you may even achieve a greater range of swing.
